Amazon.com Product Description Incredibly responsive to your every step, the newest generation of the Progrid Triumph from Saucony blends cutting-edge support features with a lightweight athletic design. This lace-up running shoe combines a Respon-Tek, EVA, and SSL-blend midsole with Saucony's most up-to-date impact deflection technology to absorb shock and provide an easy transition from heel impact to toe off. An Ortholite sock liner keeps your feet cool and dry, while the sleek racing style and light, bright colors of this high-performance shoe keep you looking good mile after mile.
Product Description The latest cushioning technology from Saucony absorbs impact, dissipates shock and provides a seamless transition from heel to foot. Arch Lock offers a snug and comfortable fit that centers the foot on the midsole platform for ultimate support and stability. SRC Impact Zone provides shock attenuation and sets the foot up for a smooth transition. Recommended for high arches. Click here to view the outsole. Great shoe. Good price. November 25, 2008 J. Elrod Saucony Triumph 5 feels great and runs even better. Although it is not the most comfortable when standing, it has the right amount of cushion and support and spring when running. Is relatively light although some other running shoes weigh less. Shoe sells for about $120 elsewhere. Very happy with this purchase.
Some pluses; one negative November 16, 2008 Justa WSO I've been wearing Triumphs for the past 5 or 6 years and run a couple of 13 milers per week on the road in my community with elevation changes. The pluses for the "5" are: lighter, "cooler", a bit more responsive and a better heel. The negative: the forefoot does not seem to be as cushioned as previous models (I pronate rapidly and tend to move weight to my forefoot accordingly).
great shoe and great service September 18, 2008 Jordy Jansen (Netherlands) It is a great shoe and it was very fast delivered for a great price too. Do I need to say more.
Great cushoning running shoe. September 12, 2008 Robert Baker (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The ProGrid Triumph 5 is my second pair of Saucony shoes. It is a great midsole cushioning shoe perfect for someone like me who underpronates and has a moderate to high arch. Very comfortable shoe.
Best running shoes I've ever owned July 19, 2008 K. R. Tucker Seeley (Boston, MA United States) Outstanding cushioning and fit! Best running shoe I've ever worn, bar none. I've never given Saucony's a second glance until the salesman at Marathon Sports recommended that I give them a try recently. It was love at first stride! : ) I'll never go back to Nikes or Asics again (as long as Saucony keeps making these Triumph 5's, that is!).
